Dean Lewis – Waves

Tubing through frequency of emotions

It always comes and goes in waves right…there is no soft and slow arrival. Let it be a heartwarming moment or a heart breaking event, it always engulfs and leaves us like waves. Yet we wouldn’t want it any other way. That’s probably why we find peace in waves. On a hot sunny day or a brooding cloudy day, waves seem to accompany us no matter what. Few silent moments by the shore, observing the waves takes our mood to whole new other level.

Emotions are nothing different from waves. It sways and swirls inside us calmly until a disaster knocks its door. What is youth without a reckless ride of emotions, when we have ‘the freedom of falling’? We fail, we fail and we fail again to realize the strength we have to stand back up innumerable times. Waves may caress on a nice day and knocks down during severe weather, but it does take us to a higher place we haven’t been to so far.  On the whole, this song has the power to induce such eye opening thoughts. That is the potential of music, speaking out loud all our unspoken words.

‘Waves’ by Dean Lewis makes a grand entrance into your heart through its dramatic beats and claims a permanent spot inside. It does deserve that spot and you will appreciate it when you listen to it for the 47th time without your knowledge.

This track by the Australian singer and songwriter, Dean Lewis from his EP ‘Same Kind of Different’ is like a fine wine. The more you listen to it, the more you’ll love it. This wonderful piece was written by Dean Lewis, Nick Atkinson and Edd Holloway and was released on 30th September, 2016. Listening to a song that got released years back has an interesting effect.
